Why it works

Not flashcards. Spaced repetition.

Most flashcard apps make you go through all 128 questions every time. We do it a smarter way, called spaced repetition — the same method Anki and Duolingo use. When you miss a question, it comes back soon. When you get it right, we wait longer to show it again — first a few days, then a week, then more. So you spend your time on the questions you still need to learn, not the ones you already know. That's how the whole test fits into a few minutes a day.

Miss it? It comes back soon.

The questions you get wrong come back in a few minutes, then again in a day or two — until you know them well.

Know it? It waits longer.

Questions you find easy come back much later, so you don't waste time on what you already know.

The result: all 128 questions, learned in just a few minutes a day.

Which test do I take?

2025 test or 2008 test? It depends on one date.

If you applied on or after Oct 20, 2025

You take the 2025 test: 128 questions. The officer asks up to 20, and you pass with 12 correct. This is the one we start you with.

If you applied before Oct 20, 2025

You take the 2008 test: 100 questions. The officer asks up to 10, and you pass with 6 correct. You can switch to it any time.

How it works

Practice a little, remember a lot.

1

Practice the real questions

See the real question, then check your answer — these are the exact USCIS questions.

2

We remember what you miss

Miss one and it comes back soon. Get it right and you'll see it again later — all on its own.

3

Come back each day

Just a few minutes a day. Save your progress and continue right where you left off.

Every answer explains why.

What is the form of government of the United States?

  • Republic
  • Constitution-based federal republic
  • Representative democracy
Why it matters

A republic means the people choose leaders to make decisions for them. You vote for those leaders instead of voting on every law yourself.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Which test do I take — 2025 or 2008?

If you filed Form N-400 on or after October 20, 2025, you take the 2025 test (128 questions). Filed before that date? You take the 2008 test (100 questions). You can switch any time.

Is it really free?

Yes. Practicing is completely free. You can start right away.

Are you the government or a law firm?

No. We are not USCIS and not a law firm. Green Card Genius is a company that helps families with immigration paperwork; this trainer is a free study tool.

How does the practice work?

You see a real question, then show the official answer and a short explanation. The ones you miss come back more often until you know them.

Is the test in Spanish?

The interview is in English (unless you qualify for an exception). But you can study here in Spanish, with audio, to understand every answer first.

You're closer than you think.
